The Jízda na ledovci Matterhorn II, nejnovější počin v alpské dopravě, zahajuje éru neomezené celoroční konektivity mezi legendárním švýcarským letoviskem Zermatt a jeho italským protějškem Breuil-Cervinia. Tento velkolepý podnik zahajuje doslova a metaforicky nový vrchol, který vytváří rekord pro nejvznešenější hraniční přechod lanovky v Alpách.

Lanovka, která vzdoruje nadmořským výškám a překlenuje hranice, bez problémů dopraví cestující ze závratných výšek horské stanice Matterhorn Glacier Paradise posazené ve výšce 3 883 metrů do Testa Grigia dolní stanice ležící ve výšce 3 480 metrů. Tato průkopnická cesta mapuje cestu přes časem vytesaný ledovec Theodul, vzrušující čtyřminutovou jízdu, která zastíní konvenční horolezectví.

Předefinování horského cestování pomocí Matterhorn Glacier Ride II

Tato nejmodernější lanovka je inženýrským zázrakem. S kapacitou přepravit až 1 300 omráčených pasažérů za hodinu, Matterhorn Glacier Ride II slibuje předefinování zážitku z alpského cestování. Rychlá trasa má délku 1,6 km a využívá pokročilou technologii lanovky 3S pro pohodlnou jízdu odolnou proti větru. Ale skutečný showstoper? Lanovka má 10 kabin Crystal Ride s 28 místy k sezení. Tyto mobilní observatoře, zavěšené na alpském nebi, mají průhlednou podlahu, která nabízí pohlcující pohled z ptačí perspektivy na zaledněnou krajinu pod nimi.

 

Vyhlídkový výlet kolem Matterhornu, ze Zermattu do Breuil Cervinia

Od malebného kouzla Zermattu, vesničky, která po staletí neustále upírá zrak na Matterhorn, až po zvlněné louky Furi horská stanice ve výšce 1 867 metrů, každý bod této cesty je pohlednicí oživenou. Odtud se cestující vydávají směrem Schwarzsee přes Matterhorn Express, zatímco majestátní Matterhorn pózuje proti jasné alpské obloze.
